Review of compact box mod EHPRO Sthorm

Posted on 23 May 202521 February 2025

Today we have a representative of a rather specific category of electronic vapor generators for review – mini box mods, the Sthorm battery pack, from the company EHPRO.

The company EHPRO has been operating on the market for 6 years and do not be confused by the number of released devices, compared to other famous companies, it is worth taking a closer look at their quality and idea. In the product portfolio of EHPRO, in addition to such legendary tanks as Billow, devices with an idea and an interesting concept appear, for example, MOD 101, an excellent example of the reincarnation of pipe mods and an attempt to increase sales due to the nostalgic generation of vapers.

I will sincerely be happy for the company EHPRO if it does not stop releasing interesting, new and forgotten old devices, thereby developing itself and the market of vape products. Agree, today, everything looks quite boring, the range of devices increasingly resembles a stamp of one to another. Let’s get back to the Sthorm device, which I will recommend as an extremely nice and convenient device for warm summer days and, of course, shorts.

The device comes in a box made of thick, white cardboard, with rather strange information. On the back of the box you can see, in some ways, overly full warnings and cautions on the use of the box mod. On the back of the box you can only see the foil name of the mod. vape kits in new zealand The situation with the application of information is the exact opposite of almost the entire market. When purchasing a device from most famous brands, you will probably see a huge amount of information about the device itself, its characteristics, advantages and merits at various competitions and exhibitions, but you will not find extended information about who should not use electronic steam generators. Perhaps this is the right way, in the end everything turned out laconic and minimalistic.

Inside we are greeted by the EHPRO Sthorm box mod itself, a microUSB cable for charging, instructions in English (rather strange, but still) and that’s it. The delivery set is minimal; some kind of accessory for the mod would certainly be interesting.

The first thing that amazes and surprises in the EHPRO Sthorm is its compactness and small size, but more on that later. The second is the certainly interesting finish of the mod’s side surfaces – carbon fiber. I do not rule out that this is real carbon, covered with varnish, although even if this is not the case, it looks impressive. The mod is made of lightweight metal and covered with powder coating. The coating is resistant to scratches and abrasion, I am sure that over time it will not wear out, as on more expensive and advanced devices. The front panel contains standard controls for the box mod – the Fire button and the + / – buttons for controlling the settings. The microUSB port added charm to the device – I can’t unsee the picture of a smiling and shocked mod. The front panel is covered with black, translucent plastic, the name of the device is written under the Fire button. Initially, a protective film was glued to the front panel, I do not recommend removing it, since the plastic turned out to be too susceptible to scratches.

The connector is steel, gold-plated, the pin is spring-loaded, I doubt that anyone today produces devices with non-spring-loaded pins, so everything is standard. On the bottom edge there are pictograms of certificates, there are holes for gas outlet.

Impressions and conclusions

The niche of compact devices, today, is not yet oversaturated with mods, like other niches in the market of vape devices. Definitely necessary box mods for summer walks, use with certain types of clothing (business suits, shorts) will be in demand, but it is worth understanding that the devices produced in this segment should be at least interesting. Another successful characteristic will be the operating time commensurate with the devices of the usual form factor. This should be expected only with the development of technology and with the growth of the level of interest of manufacturing companies to produce new mods.

The EHPRO Company has released a good example of such a box mod to the market. I liked the Shtorm and I will use it in the situations described in the review. I forgot to mention that the EHPRO Sthorm is available in four colors – black, silver, blue and red. I think that compactness combined with bright colors will please the fair sex.
