In this article, we offer to take a look at another new product from Joyetech — the CUBOID TAP kit with a ProCore Aries tank.
The very first Cuboid from Joyetech was released over a year ago. During this time, the device has gained both many fans and many haters. The box mod was criticized for its peeling paint, for problems with the board, for the cover and for the large percentage of defects. But, one way or another, the “Cuboid” set the trend for many mods that came out later. In particular, it was the implementation of the battery compartment cover that was subsequently repeatedly borrowed by many companies and this, by the way, continues to this day. vape chargers in new zealand At present, things are not going very well for Joyetech. A series of frankly controversial devices is replaced by a series of potentially successful ones. Today we will get acquainted with the new “Cuboid”, which, by the way, is crammed to the brim with all possible innovations. And whether someone needs it or not – we will figure it out as we review our new product.
From the start, I want to properly scold the Joyetech company for, to put it mildly, not quite standard color options for the CUBOID TAP. If Silver and Black look more or less, then red, yellow and blue are, of course, so-so pleasure. The flames “stand out” especially. It is clear that these are most likely vinyl stickers, but such decisions make you think about the professionalism of the designers from Joyetech. Fortunately, the box mod itself at least justifies its name in its shape, and not like it was in the Cuboid for 3 18650 batteries. In order to close the issue with the complete tank, we will say that this is the same unserviceable ProCore Aries, which we could already see in the recent eVic Primo Mini.
CUBOID TAP got its name due to the abundance of possible options for controlling the box mod. The “fire”, plus and minus buttons are touch-sensitive, but there is also a second (regular) “fire” button. The touch-sensitive one reacts to the force of pressing, so you don’t have to worry about accidental touches. In addition, the touch buttons can be blocked by some interesting manipulations. Special sensors are built into the bottom of the CUBOID TAP, which allow you to control some functions by squeezing the box mod in your hand, depending on the number of these squeezes:
When on
3x squeeze to lock/unlock the touch buttons
4x squeeze to activate the menu
5x squeeze to turn on/off the “stealth” mode
When off
3x squeeze to adjust the TCR
4x squeeze — flip the screen
5x squeeze — battery voltage information
The interesting features of the CUBOID TAP don’t end there. The box mod has a built-in vibration motor that signals us when we press the touch buttons. The functionality of the board itself is somewhat standard for modern box mods from Joyetech. The “Cuboid” has the ability to operate from two 18650 batteries and a maximum output power of 228W. There is also a powerbank mode, where would we be without it.
The landing place for atomizers in the CUBOID TAP is designed for a diameter of up to 25 mm, and the length of the connector can be from 4 to 5.5 mm. Thus, a wide variety of tanks and drippers will easily fit on the box mod.

CUBOID TAP turned out to be quite an interesting and very unusual device. Yes, probably no other company in the vaping market has done anything like this. Of course, not everyone will like all these innovations, but we will not deny the fact that the new “Cuboid” is one of the most functional box mods to date.
