Review of Joyetech eVic Primo Mini with ProCore Aries. First Look

Posted on 28 April 202521 February 2025

In this article, we offer to take a look at another recently announced new product from Joyetech — the eVic Primo Mini kit with a ProCore Aries tank.

Recently, things have been going quite strangely for Joyetech. Relatively good devices are replaced by relatively unsuccessful ones. If you look into it, there are not so many Chinese companies that release only “top” devices time after time. And Joyetech, as you already understood, has not been one of these companies for a long time. And if you look back a little and remember at least the same eVic VTC mini, then it becomes somehow really offensive for the current devices from Joyetech. However, the recently released eVic Primo was still well received by the vape community. And today we will get acquainted with a mini-version of this box mod called eVic Primo Mini.

If we consider this new product, we should do it using the example of its “whale” version. The complete tank with the name ProCore Aries can be described in only one phrase: “just so it was”. Indeed, manufacturers include such tanks in the kit with their box mods quite often, and the main share of sales, one way or another, is made up of box mods separately. vape cleaning supplies in new zealand ProCore Aries works on maintenance-free evaporators, of which, by the way, Joyetech has released as many as five types.

Replacement evaporators of the ProCore Aries tank

Traditionally, the tank has a simple design, top filling and bottom blowing.

I would like to separately note the filling. At first glance, it seems very interesting and unusual. Definitely not like everyone else. But if you follow the latest in the world of vaping, you can easily guess some elements from other devices in this filling system.

We won’t stay long on the ProCore Aries and will proceed to the most interesting part. The eVic Primo Mini is very similar to its predecessor in some design elements. The main differences between the mini version and the older model are the number of batteries and the maximum output power. The box mod runs on one 18650 battery and is capable of delivering up to 80 watts.

Returning to the design of the eVic Primo Mini, we can see a somewhat familiar front panel with the usual arrangement of controls. The “fire” button and the “+” / “-” buttons are in their rightful places, as in most box mods from Joyetech.

The location of the OLED display has also not undergone any changes, but the display itself has changed. Its diagonal has grown from 0.96 inches to 1.3. In other words, the familiar “Joyetech” display has become larger. Along with the diagonal, the changes have also affected the interface itself. It looks quite concise and informative.

The last thing I would like to draw attention to and praise the new box mod from Joyetech is that the landing place for atomizers is designed for a diameter of up to 25 mm. Thus, we get a fairly compact box mod, on which most modern tanks and drippers will fit perfectly.

Joyetech eVic Primo has every chance of success. The box mod turned out to be quite good and at first glance it is impossible to identify any categorical disadvantages in it. The design, of course, is not for everyone. But the familiar and improved board in combination with the new display definitely deserves praise. It seems that Joyetech tried to make an almost ideal box mod for one 18650 battery. Whether it worked or not – we will find out from the first reviews and customer feedback.
