It seems that manufacturers are gradually starting to “move away” from the craze for Pods and are starting to remember about real vapers – about you and me. Because it is difficult to explain the increasingly frequent interesting new products in the format of classic mods.
The Foxy One mod is released both separately and in the Foxy Mod One Kit, which includes a sub-ohm tank Intake Sub Ohm Tank with evaporators on a mesh and an interesting design in the form of an upper air intake. I only got my hands on the Foxy One itself, so on the front side of the package there is only a box mod with a sticker on the upper right, indicating the design option – Gunmetal + Alcantara. In addition to the logos and the manufacturer’s name on the back of the cardboard sleeve, you can find a list of the contents (including a desiccant, apparently to make the kit seem larger), a link to the Augvape website, and a sticker with a device authentication (the QR code simply leads to the website, but under the erasable strip there is a code that must be entered either in the field at the very bottom of any page, or in a special section of the website using this link), allowing you to verify the originality of your purchase).

Inside, a rather boring set awaits us: the mod itself, hidden in the battery compartment of the adapter, two cardboard boxes (the instructions are quite brief, but self-sufficient, suggesting visiting the website to clarify all the details) and a very short USB Type-C cable. two mints vape I did not even find a bag of silicone gel in my box.
Appearance and design of Foxy One Mod
On the one hand, we have a device that looks very similar to the previous creation under the same name – Druga Foxy, – and on the other hand, it is much closer in shape and design to the Innokin Oceanus box mod and even somewhat resembles the absolute hit of past years, the single-battery eVic VTC. In any case, for me personally, along with peak-shaped devices, this shape is one of the most convenient, and certainly more versatile than Pico or Swag, since it does not limit the landing of the atomizer with the battery compartment cover. And for vapers who are not particularly sensitive to the overhang of atoms over the edges of the box mod, it will not be a problem to install here both the tiny Merlin Nano MTL RTA and a monster like the Aromamizer RDTA. The metal case has a pleasant and slightly rough coating, due to which the case is both not very easily soiled and does not slip in the palms.
And although the cherished DRUGA, a well-known and very popular brand (perhaps even more than the name of the manufacturer), has disappeared from the name of the device, the guys from Augvape still did not forget to place the logo of two Ds on the insert that decorates the battery compartment cover. It is difficult to say whether this overlay is needed here or it would be better if the case was completely metal, but artificial suede (called Alcantara), as in my copy, seems completely impractical for a thing that is constantly in dangerous proximity to liquid. Yes, the device, thanks to its weight and shape, lies perfectly in the hand, and the soft and warm overlay adds pleasant sensations when holding, but I think that this beauty will be very short-lived with active use of the device. Although the material itself (if this is the original “Alcantara”) is durable, wear-resistant and has a whole bunch of other positive qualities. In general, we’ll see.
Fortunately, Augvape has much more familiar options in addition to this one, which differ not only in the type and color of the “skin”, but also in the coating of the entire body: black with green leather, gun metal with brown leather, gun metal with gray artificial suede (the same Alcantara as mine), copper with “wood-like” leather, and silver with black leather.

Screen and control of Foxy One Mod
Foxy One is equipped on the right side with a very small (I would even say tiny) monochrome, but at the same time bright screen of only 0.69″, capable of displaying only the most necessary information: large adjustable power (or voltage in varivolt mode), winding resistance, calculated voltage (or power in varivolt mode) and battery charge in the form of five divisions.
On the front side there is only a large square Fire, which is pressed quite tightly with a clear dull metallic click. The control buttons are located under the screen, they seem to be recessed, but still protrude a little and are quite easy to operate, so they are still not protected from accidental pressing, and therefore they should be blocked before putting the device in your pocket.
The device is turned on and off by a standard five-fold press, when turned on, the manufacturer’s name is displayed, followed by the hardware and firmware version (in my case it turned out to be HW:05 SW:016). In the variwatt mode, the power is adjusted from 5 to 120 W in 1-watt increments, fast rewinding, and there is also a circular scroll. When you simultaneously press “+” and “-”, the adjustment buttons are locked, the device itself can be used, and the Fire continues to work. And although the board supports resistance from 0.05 Ohm, it still has an internal limitation on the output current (unfortunately, not specified anywhere), so if you screw on something low-resistance and try to squeeze all the power out of the board, Foxy One will swear by the terrible word Incompatibility. You just need to reduce the power.
Impressions and conclusions
First of all, I would like to praise the manufacturer for the nice appearance and ease of control of the board, most users do not need a huge number of functions offered in other box mods, and here you only have variable wattage, variable voltage and mechanical mod mode. If you are an active user of temperature control, then alas, the device will not suit you. Here, almost everything is the same as it was in Druga Foxy: in the first place is friendliness to the vaper, and the device itself (like the kit with Intake Sub Ohm Tank) is positioned as a device for daily use and primarily for beginners. What can be useful and enjoyable for an advanced user is its “omnivorousness” in terms of the diameter of the atomizers used and theoretically high power (to be honest, I did not measure the output voltage, and there are questions about the current output), a long-lasting replaceable battery of the 21700 format and a pleasant, universal appearance. I have already expressed my opinion about the artificial suede insert, but other than that, by and large, I have no complaints about the Foxy One.
