To all those who miss the square “sigels” and “khans”, tired of the futuristic delights of the latest box mod designers, this review of the USV-L 75W box mod from Novium Products on the VO Tech chip is dedicated.
United Society of Vape is a brand of one of the manufacturers that is little known in our area – Novium Products. If I have not mixed anything up, then this company specializes in “natural products”, which are not customary to talk about in a decent vape community. We will not either, but be that as it may, the company (even North American, it seems) previously released the VO Tech Dagger box mod on the VO Chip board manufactured by VO Tech. Several other devices are produced on this chip, which have also not yet received much distribution and great fame. What is the connection between the two companies, one can only guess, because there is practically no information on the Internet, and both companies do not link to each other in any way. Today I will tell you about the first and so far the only device under the USV brand.

The device comes to the buyer in a black box with a huge black lacquered USV inscription on the lid. On the back there is a description in English of all the “chips” of this box mod, the delivery set, warnings, and serial number are listed. new zealand vape shop christchurch On the right in the corner there is a sticker with a note about the design of the device, in the circle on the left there is an engraving that is made on the side covers, and at the top is the name of the box mod design, in my case it is a round logo of the USV manufacturer. An interesting thing is the lack of details and any address of the real manufacturer of this device.

USV-L 75W Package
The meager package with the box mod includes a short micro USB cable, and instructions for operating the device in English only. And for some reason there is a dice, i.e. a cube with another USV logo, made of the same alloy from which the mod’s body is made. An interesting toy, but nothing more, apparently added on the wave of the recent hype around spinners and other trinkets. As the inscription on the package says, this is a collector’s item, I will not argue.
The appearance of the United Society of Vape box mod can be described exhaustively in only one word: brick. But perhaps not everyone will find this a negative assessment, many still prefer straight and strict shapes, opting for such slightly “old school” devices. And here they are exactly strict: straight lines and sharp corners, it’s good that at least the edges are rounded and do not cut the palm, but the corners are too “prickly”. The most noticeable feature of the device’s exterior is only one button and the lack of a screen. The box mod’s coating is similar to anodizing, pleasant and rough to the touch, streaks and dirt are invisible. The images of the USV logos are engraved and filled with white paint.
Impressions and conclusions
USV-L 75W with a complete cubeThere is nothing special to say about the USP-L 75W, neither good nor bad, the device does not cause rejection, as well as any special delight. In my opinion, it is the Tiffany Blue version that looks the most attractive. I did not find any particular flaws in the quality of workmanship in my copy, except for a slightly different paint color of one panel. The body assembly is solid and without flaws, the lids are a little loose, and then only if you move them specially. In terms of operation, I tried working at 0.08 Ohm (the box quite well swings the winding of two framed staple coils from Arsenal, for which traditional thanks to Alexey), but most of all I used it with a cigarette tank, for which the single-battery mod is more likely intended. And, by the way, the mod easily raises the same 0.08 in BYPASS mode, despite the specifications specified by the manufacturer (from 0.2 Ohm). The dimensions of the device easily digest atomizers up to ∅25 mm, so there will be no problems with modern drippers and tanks. When pressing Fire, there are no delays, the electronics work instantly, nothing has ever glitched or hung. In terms of everyday use, the mod seemed simple and reliable.
Fitting 25 mm atomizers on USV-L 75W Complaints include both the ergonomics of the mod (rectangular block), and the “trick” with panels covering the control buttons and the screen. Yes, there is something unusual in this, but you need to get used to it, because there is no battery charge indicator in front of your eyes. Not everyone often needs to adjust the power, it is enough to set it once and forget. In general, such a feature. The VO Chip board can be praised for supporting a resistance of 0.08 Ohm (if lower, the box mod complains about very low resistance), but it would be better if it were 0.05 Ohm. And it has nothing else to brag about. A very dim display, low battery charging current, no resistance fixation and power setting in TC, the board’s current output is not stated anywhere at all.
Liked:
Appearance (Hana-style!) and design options with different engravings
Nice coating
Support for atomizers up to ∅25 mm
Resistance from 0.08 Ohm
Disliked:
Angular and sharp
Low charging current
Controversial decision with a constantly closed screen and buttons
High price
Not the most convenient menu
Didn’t get it:
The cost for it is about the same, and it is unlikely that this price can be called justified. Of course, this is lower than most DNA mods, but the board does not reach the functionality of competitors from Evolv. Overall, the device is good (not excellent, but good), and if the board manufacturers further improve their brainchild and lower the price, it can compete well on the market with other similar devices.
