This review will be devoted to the classic box mod for one battery – Vaporesso Swag 2.
The Swag 2 box mod from the Chinese manufacturer Vaporesso was released at the end of 2019 and was intended to replace the first version, which had some shortcomings. However, the new model, although it solved some of the shortcomings of the previous one, could not help but acquire its own controversial points. Today we will try to figure out what was good (or not) Swag 2, and also answer the question of who can generally recommend this box mod in 2021.
Packaging and equipment
Swag 2 comes in a standard stylish box, familiar from many other devices from this manufacturer. Depending on the chosen color scheme of the box mod itself, the color of the packaging will differ, as well as the color of the device depicted on the front side. The slogan of the device and its name are also located here. vape clearomizers & tanks in new zealand The back of the box, in turn, contains more specific information, including various data from the creators, a code to check the mod for originality, technical specifications and the contents of the delivery set.

Design and functionality
Initially, the box mod was presented in the standard colors for the Vaporesso company: silver, black, red and blue. Over time, the device acquired three more design options (green, purple and pink), and even later the Swag 2 line received another update with six more colors. Thus, at the moment the device is sold in 13 (!) color options. Externally, the device looks quite fresh to this day, featuring very ergonomic body shapes, low weight and a tactilely pleasant coating like soft touch plastic. The surface texture and gradient paint immediately catch the eye, making the appearance of the mod not at all boring. On one of the sides there is a double adjustment rocker, on the other – the manufacturer’s logo and an already outdated Micro USB port.
The front side of the box mod is equipped in a traditional way: a large Fire button, a monochrome display that fits well into the overall design, as well as a separate Menu key for controlling the rich functionality of the box mod. The buttons are made of plastic. From above you can see, at first glance, a fairly reliable metal connector, as well as the battery compartment cover. The connector, by the way, supports atomizers with a diameter of up to 25 mm. The end part of the device has ventilation holes, screws that hold the case together and a set of uninteresting inscriptions.
A similar design for the battery compartment was presented a long time ago, and today it will not surprise anyone. Having unscrewed the top cover with some kind of knurling, we get access to the shaft, on the bottom of which there is a designation of the correct polarity of the battery during installation. Under the cover, there is a small risk in a similar way, but it is easy to miss. After placing an 18650 battery in the shaft and tightening the cover, the device automatically turns on.
Inside the Swag 2 there is a proprietary board called AXON Chip, limited to a power range of 5-80W and stuffed with various functions, the study of which can take a lot of time. You can read in detail about all the capabilities of the box mod in our previous review of this device. In short, the main screen when turned on displays the selected power, current vaping mode, battery charge, resistance and puff counter.
To access its main menu, the box mod will ask you to press the button, oddly enough, Menu three times, or hold this key for a second. Next, we get to a list of several modes and settings, which can be switched between using the “plus” and “minus” keys. To say that the abundance of various options, subsettings, modes and functions here is excessive is to say nothing.

Impressions and conclusions
As mentioned above, Swag 2 can both pleasantly impress and cause considerable discomfort with its functionality. An ordinary user who buys this device to pair it with some cigarette maker will hardly find all this variety of modes and settings useful. This is probably the main complaint about the box mod discussed above. And perhaps someone may be put off by the seemingly unreliable and very light case. Otherwise, the device is not bad. Nice appearance, seasoned with a pleasant coating, ergonomic shapes, a solid and honest (albeit overloaded) board, support for atomizers up to 25 mm. With all the desire, there is almost nothing to find fault with the box mod. Is it better than its first version? In some ways yes, in others no. If the question is about choosing a compact mod for one battery, then Swag 2 is a good option.
