Everything we encounter in life has its own history. Sometimes it is useful to know the history of some important inventions. 1920s
The first mention of an electronic evaporator patent dates back to 1927. This is just one small comment. I think Robinson may have had the idea in his head that his new invention could be a good alternative to tobacco. After all, at that time in the United States the tobacco industry was very developed. Almost half of Americans were smokers, and the tobacco giants were trying their best to increase this number. Tobacco advertising was everywhere: on street billboards, newspaper pages, magazines, television, and even on children’s lunch boxes. Tobacco corporations sponsored hospitals, political parties, and played a large role in the country’s economic situation. At that time, no one thought about quitting smoking.
That time was difficult for inventors – there were simply a lot of them and there weren’t enough patent workers for everyone. But after a long wait, in 1930, Joseph finally received approval from the patent office for his inhaler.
